Take your time and let the saw do the work.

Cut the 45 degree angle on both sides from the short to short direction.
Measure up the right side of the door to the bottom of the 45 degree angle cut on the top trim.
To do this use a 1 4 1 2 in 0 64 1 27 cm wood shim to mark your cutting line at the bottom of the door.
Hold the saw against the cutting guide and check the position of the blade s teeth.
Mark the door for the cut.
Forcing the saw can cause the door to splinter.
Then remove the door and use a straight edge and painter s tape to set up a perfectly controlled cut with a circular saw.
Make the cut slowly.
Measure across top of door and on the inside and add 3 8 inch to the measurement.
